Perfect location right at Zocalo, with valet parking. Free breakfast with great choices. Spacious and clean room. English speaking front-desk staff is always available.
Old room facility. No air conditioning in room, and no mesh screening over windows. Feel hot in room, but when the window was open, it was bit noisy outside and risked letting in mosquitos.
Front office and bar/restaurant staff friendly & courteous. The room (a Junior Suite, overlooking the Zocalo) was spacious and quite well appointed. Everything was clean, and everything worked. Location is great, and although the room was overlooking the Zocalo, street noise at night was negligible.
We got a room on the first floor, right over the restaurant, with windows looking out on the Zocalo. Fantastic window view and a great location if you want to explore the historic centre of Puebla. The room was clean, although not very modern - it had a "vintage" feeling to it. The breakfast buffet, included in the price of our stay, was moderately diverse and the dishes tasted ok.
The view from the room was great, but the noise from the restaurant/traffic during the night is really bothersome - we should have taken the room on the 3rd floor we were offered as second choice. The wi-fi reception in the room was useless - the connection was constantly breaking. To actually use the internet, we had to go to the lobby.
People were always helpfull and diligent to help. The rooms were clean and with enough space. The location excellent. Price was convenient. It offered buffet breakfast.
Does not have aircondinioting in the rooms. The iron and the hair dryer had to be asked for with the concierge (but it was ok).
I enjoyed the view from my suite... The preparations for easter were especially interesting. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The best location for a first time visit to puebla!!
I was dissapointed with the suite. The furniture was average and 3 beds made it feel like a dormitory.
The front desk people and other service employees were all very helpful and polite!
I liked everything
The location with window that opened to the Zocalo. The cathedral and Zocalo were beautifully lit in the night.
The hotel was also noisy because of it's location on the Zocalo. There were demonstrations both mornings.
great location in the centro
very noisy, glad I brought earplugs
The room had two windows with a small balcony overlooking the zocalo and it was perfect for watching people go by and listen to the music from different restaurants while enjoying a glass of wine.
The location of this hotel was its most interesting feature, as it is right on the edge of the Zocolo., which has to be the most exciting square anywhere in the country. The food , especially the breakfast was one of the best I've ever eaten, so setting us up for a great day of sightseeing around this wonderful city
I found that the rooms were in need of a good makeover to bring them up to 21st century standards, but this would need to be done sympathetically otherwise the 'good old' might disappear with the 'bad new'
The location is excellent and the room was big and comfortable. The best thing was certainly the balcon and the beautiful view of the cathedral. Breakfast was also very good!
The location is excellent, but the crowds during weekends can be a bit noisy.
Very friendly staff and good breakfast options. Beautiful building in the heart of Puebla close to Zocalo and a beautiful cathedral. Lots to do within walking distance and very easy access to taxis.
Although these were not deal breakers, the bed and pillows were very hard and on a weekend night it was quite noisy outside of the hotel until very late.
Very convenient location with lovely views of the cathedral from the zocalo-facing rooms.
Showers were not good - tepid water and very low water pressure.
The best thing about this hotel is the location. Right on the Zócalo or main square. We got a room with a small balcony overlooking the plaza which was beautiful. We were worried that the noise from the square would disturb our sleep, especially of our little girl, but it didn´t bother us the least (it was a Monday night, maybe there is more noise on weekends). The reception had anyway kindly offered us another room beforehand if the noise would bother us but that wasn´t necessary. The building is has a charming Spanish colonial style and the rooms are quite large.
The installations of the hotel are very old. It´s nothing terrible though, no funny smells nor anything unbearable. The elevator is scary and the breakfast that was included was very limited by Mexican standards.
Front rooms on zocolo are good because natural light, a good look out to the city's activities; bad because of traffic and city noise. Generous breakfast included with room.
